Each day will begin and end with a ten minute meditation in the park. Children will play field games, enjoy walking yoga tours, and participate in water activities. In addition, children will learn about the human body, health and the importance of being active, during daily field trips to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
Discovery Colorado understands the importance of meditation, therefore incorporating it into each camper's daily routine. Children meet at City Park and Cheesman Park to explore their environment, during nature walks, and use their creative imaginations while crafting. Campers will learn the importance of preservation, during private tours at the Denver Botanic Gardens, where guest speakers will share their knowledge about various topics related to the environment.
In the heart of downtown Denver, children will take part in field trips to the Colorado State Capital, Byers Evans House Museum, History Colorado, and the Denver Art Museum. Children will also learn about Denver's Native American history from members of local Native American tribes.
